I don't think how you buy the alcohol leads to drinking while driving.
When I go and buy beer, I usually drive to the supermarket, liquor store,
or whatever and drive away with it in my car.

How is this different from a drive-thru beer/liquor store? The only
difference (to me) seems to be the fact that I don't get out of my car.

Just because I don't get out of my car doesn't mean I'm going to drink it
on the way to wherever I'm going.

The terms do seem ironically paired. Drive and Liquor combined doesn't
seem like a good thing at first glance, but I see it as merely a
purchasing convenience, not a facilitator to drinking while driving.

If I was to drink while driving, I don't think it would make much
difference whether I stopped at a beer store and went in, or drove
through.

Here in the Dallas area, I've seen drive through beer places, but I
haven't seen anyplace that mixes up anything in a cup for you. That may
be a bit more worrisome. A single drink is usually meant to be drank
soon, whereas a 6-pack or case is "stocking up" for drinking later.

I don't know the laws in Louisiana, but if passengers are allowed to
drink, that explains the drive-through "single-drinks", and I hope it's
only the passengers that are drinking them.

I also don't get the "great for minors" thing. Just because you drive up
to it doesn't mean they sell to anyone.
