ANST - Centurian award

It took me 14 years to get mine :)

By the nature of the sport
>fighters do not face the possibility of being over looked.

Hmmm when Barn gave me my AoA it was remarked by more than one person
including him that they couldnt' believe that I didn't have it yet. So yes
it is very easy to be overlooked. If one doesn't try to bring attention to
oneself sometimes it is easy to be overlooked. Also is it not at least a
possibitlity that fighters just as those participating in the service and
A&S areana deserve some form of official recognition of thier abilities? I
feel that fighting does contribute a lot to the enjoyment and presence in
the SCA and while I fight I also participate in A&S activities. I just have
never understood why it is that I can get an award that recognizes my skill
and participation in the A&S activities but not on the field untill someone
considers me for a grant level award.
I am not trying to be contentious here *please pardon any spelling errors
:)*. I am just trying to express something that has been brought up to me
before. And something that I have wondered about for much time.
If anyone has any other input I would be more than glad to hear about it
either on the list or in private.
