Regularly, someone on this forum posts a message that offends someone else.
It
sometimes seems impossible to say *anything* without offending *someone*.
Just
as regularly, some well-intentioned soul jumps up to "take offence" on
someone
else's behalf, who presumably *ought* to be offended by something that was
said
to or about them.

I must agree with you completely, and this seems to be more of a problem
lately.

When you get right down to it, being "offended" is really a tactic that
only works against caring people, an uncaring person would not care whether
or not you were offended. Fortunately it is possible to be a caring person
and not be concerned with everyone's issues. What Im tying to say is this,
being offended, is in the end, the stance taken by a victim. A survivor will
choose to use his energy more wisely than that. Learning to move on and deal
with other peoples problems as they relate to you is something we must all
do at some point or another in our lives, I suggest to everyone that they do
it now.

The real tragedy is the tragedy of a man who never in his life braces
himself for his one supreme effort, who never stretches to his full
capacity, who never stands up to his full stature
