I don't know why this wouldn't be possible. Unfortunately I have little
experience with IRC in the last several *years* so I don't know how one
would do it.

Thank you. It is also a method of communication that is more aimed at
the type of discussions/banter being desired since it allows for
immediate unstored communication that only goes to those people who
desire it.
