>From watching the trucks leave, it appeared that they were just trying
to get through the people walking in the road. While we are used to
sharing the roads with cars, they were probably not used sharing the
road with us.

There did not appear to be an emergency since as soon as they got safely
past the crowds, the sirens were turned off.
