               This grand tournament will be held at the Burkburnett
 Community Center, in Burkburnett, Texas, on July 24,1999.  As a  result of
 Her Majesty's concern for Her valiant rapier fighters, the tournament will
 be fought indoors in a spacious and well-cooled hall.
 
               Being a noble lady and most concerned with the well-being of
 Her subjects, Her Majesty wishes to encourage in Her rapier community the
 attainment of the seven virtues:   Humility, Generosity, Chastity, Kindness,
 Abstinence, Patience and Zeal.  Naturally graced with all the virtues to
 which Her noble subjects may only aspire (although, in her modesty, she
 denies such accolade), Her Majesty has let it be known that She would
 welcome any displays by the fighters of these virtues at the tournament.
 She will take note of those combatants exhibiting such virtues during the
 day.
 
             There will be no feast served at the tourney, but an extravagant
 sideboard will grace the hall during most of the day.  Their Majesties will
 sit in state for a period of two hours during the day to greet Their
 populace, receive fealty and conduct such business as is not required to be
 conducted at Their Court.  Such events as presentations and other personal
 business should be planned for this allotted time as Their Majesties wish to
 keep Their court as brief as possible.  Court will begin promptly at 6:30
 (or one hour after the tournament is over, whichever occurs later).
 
              Alas, when the evening falls, the virtues so well loved by our
 Queen may falter when the vices (known to some as the seven deadly sins:
 pride, greed, envy, anger, lust, gluttony and sloth ) creep in on the wings
 of darkness.  If you can, be strong!  Come dressed as your favorite virtue,
 or if you are but a weak vessel, your favorite vice, to the Queen's Ball,
 which will begin at 8:30pm and continue until 10:30pm.  Much merriment will
 be had by all, whether virtuous or venal.
 
              For those who feel the need of more nourishment than will be
 provided in the extravagant sideboard, there are many establishments in
 Burkburnett that can satisfy any craving.  If you wish to set up your tents
 and pavilions and stay overnight, there is a KOA campground located about 1
 1/2 miles from the site.  Should you prefer to rest in the cool comfort of
 an inn, Wichita Falls is just 15 minutes away, with a wide selection of such
 inns and hostelries.   Her Majesty looks forward to greeting Her rapier
 community at Her Champion's Tourney!!
