If some one wishes to fight/win crown tournament they should be ready to
fight the best fighters in the Kingdom. That means possible facing Sir
supper Duke even though Sir supper Duke may withdraw from the tournament
after beating "you", you may be him. No one should go into a bought planing
on losing, if you plan on losing just forfit the bought with out throughing
a shot. There are some very good young and not so young fighters in our fair
Kingdom and the presence of Sir supper Duke dose not mean the "he" will win
any or all of "his" fights. A crown tournament was recently fought where no
one from the chivalry made it into the semifinals.
Which bring up a second question should Knights be exempted from facing
other Knights in the first round? As has been pointed out Knights are
expected to enter Crown tournament. Joe newbey thinks he swings a mean stick
may enter Crown a Kinght is expected to enter Crown, there is a differince
there. If there are enought fighters entered into the list that the pairing
can be made without a Knight facing an other Knight then that shoud be the
case. There is far more to being a Knight than just fighting.
You could be a Duke in under two years just win crown twice and you are a
Duke, that dose not make you a Knight IIRC there has been a Duke that was
not a Knight. A Knight needs to know more than just fighting, "he" shoud
know the arts do service, have a clue about heraldry. A King that dosen't
know the difference beteeen sable and or is only there for 6 months a Knight
is there for a long time.
Just some rambling by some one that dose not swing a stick and has no plans
on ever entering Crown tournament.
