I made it in last night about 12:30
The War, (My first) was absolutely great up until Friday morning when I
awoke to discover my tent was still chilly and not yet reached the
appropriate blazing inferno that it takes to get me up. The second
realization was that there was a silky hiss of rain present in my tent. I
made the best of it, I went back to sleep and hoped it would stop. By
10:00am me and my two fellow carpoolers decided that the weather had
reached a level of "Maximum Suck" and began to pull down camp.
This is perhaps the worst part of the whole war. Freezing cold rain, cars
stuck everywhere and the road to totally congested with other campers
trying to escape. What we set up in one hour ended up taking three to pull
down. However the rain did not stop once between the site and Arlington so
I felt that I made a wise, if not perhaps a disappointed decision.
The highlights of war for me

Ansteoran Torch Light Tourney:
It was hands down some of the best heavy fighting I have seen. I enjoyed
it thoroughly.

The Merchants:
I put together my set off heavy armour for under four hundred dollars Woo
Hoo!

The Parties:
Specifically the very pleasant gathering in their Majesties camp during the
chili dinner and the House Portos/Lost Boys Kamikaze party at the fort
(Thank you for your most gracious hospitality)

The People:
I want to thank all the gentles who helped to make the War pleasant and
exciting.
For those who hosted parties, offered food, pushed and pulled cars out of
the morass, to all those hard working individuals who made the war
possible...you are the reason that the Society is a special and rewarding
place.

Thanks and hope you all make it home safely
