Unfortunately this is for the most part true. I would hope that the
Calons would be courteous enough not to give anyone a hard time just
because they were walking around with a Rapier on their side. But as is
true in every Kingdom there are always gonna be Jerks. Make note though
that the past few Calon events i have attended there were Rapier
carrier's walking about but I never saw anyone jumped for the type of
steel they carried. 

It is a fun War to attend and worth at least a weekend even if there
isn't anything you wish to directly participate in. I truly hope as many
of my Ansteorra friends and allies as possible, attends. The merchant
turnout alone is worth the trip.
