ANST - query on Japanese armor patterns

Hi all! I've been inactive for about 10 or 12 years now, and
would like to get back into fighting. In the old days, all we
needed was a kidney belt, a helm, a cup and some hockey gloves.
Apparantly, this has significantly changed.

I'm in Ansteorra now, and unsure where to go for the armor
requirements. In the remote past, making some leather armor on
your own was a job for a weekend or two. What I'd really like to
get involved with, not only for the fantastic armor, but also to
learn something about it's art is - Japanese armor -- the lacing,
the stamped leather squares. Anyone know a site that details how
to go about it?

I also just need some armor center for the other misc --
gauntlets and cool helms. Thanks in advance to all.
