Here are the new gide lines for the IKAC/IKCAC sort of and address's to get
the compleat rules.

>This was originally sent to the Kingdom newsletters for April, but the
>address I use to broadcast my reports to the Kingdom newsletters no longer
>works and I don't have the individual addresses. Please pass this on to the
>archers in your area.
>
>Please send requests for the updated IKAC and IKCAC rules to
>ikac at dellarco.com.
>
>Giovanni dell'Arco
>Keeper of the Interkingdom Archery Competition
>------------------------------------------------
>
>Back in January I proposed some rule changes on the SCA target and missile
>combat mailing lists. I received many responses and from those opinions I
>decided to amending the current rules to include the following:
>
>The bonuses for the Period and Period Crossbow divisions will be dropped.
>The equipment standards will remain the same, but there will be no more
>bonuses for making your own equipment. The bonuses were intended to attract
>people to the Period divisions and many now believe, as I do, that the
>bonuses are no longer necessary and recognition for making one's own
>equipment can be found in the Arts & Sciences competitions.
>
>Concerning how many IKACs one can shoot in a day for score, the written rule
>will change from "Archers must declare in advance which score is to be
>officially counted if they plan on shooting more than once in a particular
>division in one day," to "Archers may shoot more than once in a particular
>division per day, but only their top complete round of that day will be
>officially counted."
>
>Lastly, the final scores must be submitted to me by December 31st instead of
>the 10th, as is currently written in the rules. I realize the 10th allows
>me to get scores into the Kingdom newsletters more quickly, but it does not
>conform to the requirement that scores must be submitted to me within 30
>days of being shot.
>
>These changes will go into effect at the start of the Northern hemisphere's
>IKAC season, 1 April 1999, and will be retro-active to the beginning of the
>Southern hemisphere's IKAC season, 1 December 1998. I do not believe these
>rule changes will be an inconvenience to the Southern hemisphere archers,
>especially since I have not received any scores at this time. However, if
>the changes do cause problems, please let me know.
>
>Last year we had an amazing number of scores turned in with some really
>incredible scores. Let's see if we can out-do ourselves again!
