Well, Your Excellency...I'll help take some of that heat with the following open
ended question...
Why aren't the names of the judges for a competition printed ahead of
time in the event annnouncement?
When you think about it, unfair, subjective judges would quickly get a reputation
for their behavior and have no entries to judge!
No artist *willingly* subjects their art to this kind of judging. They are
getting a "pig in a poke" as far as who's judging what.
The artist *should* get a fair shake on a level playing field. S/He should know
beforehand who will be judging their work. Secrecy breeds suspicion.
