also a matter of reality .... an arts competition, by it's nature is far 
different from a martial competition.  arts, by their nature are judged more on 
a nebulous, subjective, perceptive level by the the judges / experts ... 
martial contests are judged more on a clear, objective, observable, realities.  

rarely have i seen a subjective type competition (ie, an arts related one) 
where a judge is allowed to have work in that competition.  to many potential 
(and often actual) problems involved.  

this is not necessarily a case in the martial / "objective class" of 
competitions where the scorings are set by the external bounds / definitions of 
that competition.
