Greetings Friends!

I've recieve such great response that I'm going to combine
comments into one missive to keep from typing the same information
in several emails.

Umm...no, I haven't heard of the First Emperor's Tomb. Is it
Egyptian?

Thank you for the ISBN, I will get the library to ILL it to me.
I've been lucky to find some great books on terracotta sculpture
in Ancient times, particularly Roman times. And, while I was
in Dayton last month, I was able to see some existing examples
at the Dayton Art Institute.

I've also seen some great stuff in a book of Mistress Gunnora's
on Scythian sculpture, and Etruscan sculpture. (Very reminicent
of Gumby and Pokey.)

Woohoo! Thank you David! This is exactly the type of reference
that I was hoping for! Like I mentioned in my original email
I've found examples of representitive three dimensonal terracotta
sculpture in Antiquity, but have found scant references to it
in our period. Especially in Medieval and Renaissance Europe.
I will throw myself in this thread of research with abandon!
