I am going to forego the opportunity to diffuse this matter with a humorous 
opening comment.

I responded to a friend's comment last week with a crude analogy.  I allowed 
myself the leisure of a sarcastic rejoinder where a more reasoned response 
was apporpriate.  After three daughters, you'd think I'd know that the word 
"rape" is never appropriate in a jest.  My intention is unimportant; we all 
know what the road to hell is paved with.

Therefore, I would like to publicly apologize generally to the members of 
this list for my crude comment.  Lo siento, mes cozyns.

I would like to apologize particularly to Boyardin Kazimir.  Lo siento, 
vostr'excellence.

Many thanks to the individual who forced me to see the color of what I had 
written. Grandmerce.
