There are quite a few..
The laurel I was apprenticed to.. Mistress Sindra, was not an apprentice.
Also, Master Avatar of Catspray and Master Samuel Piper were not apprentices
either. Not sure of anyone else.

This is very interesting.  I know that we have a few knights who were never
squires but how
many Laurels are in the kingdom who were never an apprentice?  What about
the number of
non-protegeed Pelicans?

I think this is an interesting bit of Ansteorran/SCA history that many of us
do not know.
