ANST - what makes peerage mportant?

ahhh, but what is most important ... the person or the awards they hold or the 
trappings they wear?  equality can only come from below through the perspective 
of the individual observer (a basic "right").  it does not come from above by 
mandate or award (a "privalege").  

i know many "peer" class folk who have never been recognized (and most never 
will) ... but it dosn't bother them or in any way shape their pathways.  on the 
other hand i know a few who wear the trappings that will never measure up to 
any in that class.  it all depends on where you stand in the world and how you 
choose to view it.   

peerage comes from the heart and soul of each individual ... people will 
recognize who and what you are even if the process / politics do not ... and 
that is what is truely important.
