Early Manuscripts at Oxford University:
The project forms part of the Specialised Research
Collections in the Humanities initiative supported by
the Higher Education Funding bodies of England,
Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland under the direction
of the Non-Formula Funding Committee. Beginning with
collections of Celtic manuscripts from several Oxford
libraries, and subsequently extended to include a
broader range, the project is creating high resolution
digital images, which are stored on the Oxford
University Hierarchical File Server, and made available
over the international networks.
