Paraphrased from current Kingdom Law

a:  The Crown may not enter Crown List during their reign.
b:  Both fighter and consort must be paid members of the SCA with immediate 
access to the Black Star.
c:  All fighters must make known to the Crown the identity of their prospective 
consort.
d:  Both fighter and consort must be acceptable to the Crown, must be of legal 
age, and at the pleasure of the Crown must meet the following requirements:
     i.  Must have lived in the kingdom for previous calendar year.
     ii.  Must have served in an administrative office(s) for at least a total of one 
year.
     iii.  Must be able to exhibit a good working knowledge of SCA structure, 
Kingdom structure, the powers and responsibilities of the Crown and other 
major Kingdom offices as defined by Corpora and Kingdom Law.
     iv.  Shall display a demeanor and appearance suitable to being Crown.
     v.  Each entrant must bear the favor of a person of the opposite gender as 
potential consort.  Each consort may bestow their favor unto a single entrant.
e.  In addition, any person entering Crown and their consort must assure the 
following:
     i.  Sufficient income to support the office of Crown.
     ii.  A means of rapid and regular communication.
     iii.  A dependable means of transportation.
     iv.  Sufficient assurance that he/she will remain in the Kingdom for the next 
9 months.
f.  In addition, any fighter entering Crown:
     i.  Must have at least 1 year fighting experience.
     ii.  Must have a member of the Chivalry speak for him/her prior to the 
Crown List.
     iii.  Must have a current fighter authorization card and not be on 
probation/suspension within the Marshallette.
g.  Any fighter entering Crown List must swear the following oath in the 
presence of the Crown:
