a self-help group for the persona-impaired ??? (grin)

twenty years back this would have had my clann rolling on the floor in
hysterics at the absurdity ... this being the late 90's it's a lot easier to
take in stride. question, is such a level of total immersion in a fantasy to
seperate self/group from the real world really a healthy thing? remember that
it's all only a complex game based on some basic principals and must always
remain subordinate to the realities of life in the modern age (old zen adage,
"first lesson, you must learn to live in the world") ... as a game the SCA has
value, making the game a replacement for ones life is another thing all
together.

round table discussion have merit and a lot could be learned from soem of the
concepts mentioned, but one jumps off the page like a beacon ... thsi
superior/inferior thing is a concept that send chills up my spine eveytime i
hear it (in the SCA or elsewhere) ...

simple answer, there should be no *superiors*, there should be no *inferiors*.
when you brand anyone as inferior, you are denigrating their basic humanity.
our realworld culture and world as a whole has done a great deal to erase /
level the inequities we inherited from the past, why would *anyone* want to
recreate them by developing a rigid, stratified social structure where they are
inherent part of the culture?. these "labels" are becoming less and less
tolerable as the years roll by and many will no longer stand for them.

simplicity of life comes from a internal personal level and flows outward ...
