I would also like to thank the marshalls that were either fighters, that
decided that marshalling was more important, and the marshalls that were
planning on watching instead of marshalling. Without these good gentles
volunteering the melees would have needed more of the melee participants to
run.

I just wanted to take the time to mention a couple of things.

Regarding the rapier melees, I'd like to say that our opponents, the
Trimarians and their allies fought a good fight with all the heart they
could muster.  In both cases, they were badly outnumbered but were willing
to proceed and fight to the end.  They met the challenge admirably.

I would also like to thank all the knights, centurians, and others that
came and fought with us.  Many of you do not fight rapier on a regular
basis and we all appreciate the support you gave us.  I plan to return the
favor next year and encourage others to do likewise.  I like to think
that, bottom line, we are all Ansteorran warriors first and foremost.
Whether we're "light/heavy" or "rapier/chivalric" is secondary.  Again,
thanks to each and every one of you.
