ANST - Little Lost Dog

Sorry about the bandwidth here, but I have to try....


After Gulf war, a small black dog was left at my house.  It is a sad story, 
the owner is an SCA person and does animal rescue.  She was in a car 
accident on the way home from Gulf war, and the dog got "left" at my house 
while I was in California making arrangements for my Mother's funeral.  My 
husband had a BBQ and when he woke up the next day, a person from the party 
had simply "left" the dog in our care.

I came home to find the dog here, with no prior consent on my part or my 
family's, and since then I have been trying to reach the owner or any of her 
friends without any response.

The dog is female, fixed and has all her shots.  She is about 3 years old.  
She is extremely mild mannered and needs a family or a person who can give 
her lot's of affection and attention.

I am allergic to her, and have been trying to feed and care for her for 
about 6 weeks while trying to get some response from her owner.

It would break my heart to return her to an animal shelter, even a no kill 
shelter.  I am writing to the list in hopes someone will be interested in 
adopting her.  She is a chow mix, a small/medium sized dog, and there is a 
new costume for the person who gives her a home as my gift for being a hero.
