Fall Board of Directors’ Meeting

The Board of Directors of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc.
will be holding its next regular meeting in Houston on October 20-21,
2000. Anyone who wishes to attend the meeting on Saturday is welcome to
do so. If you would like to find out more about how the SCA operates at
the national level, this is your opportunity. The Board deals primarily
with the non-medieval, legal aspects of running a non-profit,
educational organization.

The site of the meeting will be the Embassy Suites Hotel Southwest at
9090 Southwest Freeway in Houston, TX. The hotel is at the Gessner exit,
and is not far from the Sam Houston Tollway. If you wish to make a
reservation to stay at the hotel, the rate for the SCA is $79 per night.
To receive this rate you need to say that “Ruthie Holmes” has authorized
the $79 rate when you make your reservation. Their Houston phone number
is 713-995-0123. You can also make reservations by calling 1-800-EMBASSY
which is their centralized world-wide reservation system.

Crash space can also be arranged with members of the Barony of the
Stargate by calling the event liaison, Baroness Philippa Rookhaven.

There will be an informal party after the meeting, location of the party
and other details will be available at the meeting. The party will be
garb optional.

The Barony of the Stargate is serving as hosting group for this meeting.
