Sea Winds is returning to "Siege of the Abbey" on January 20th. The site
is even better than the Mission site.
Some of the fighting takes place in the arroyos, which are best described
as dry rainwater drainage canals with walls 10 to 15 feet tall on either side
that meander around through one part of the site eventually leading down to
the lake. The width varies from wide enough for two shieldmen to areas that
can stand 6 or more across in a shield wall. Some have saddles (real
barriers to fight over), some branch off, and some even interconnect. With
the tree and thick brush coverage, it makes for some very interesting melees.
We will have many activities going on this year. I invite everyone to
come join us as we celebrate our return to the Corpus Christi Abbey.

Lord Reymond Henry Blackburne
Seneschal of Sea Winds
