Excellent notion! (http://mooneschadowe.ansteorra.org/guardian/events.html)

This year is the Celebration of our Twentieth Guardian, and we have a full
and exciting event planned. Many wonderful prizes are prepared.

The Tourney will be fought in a Pas d'Armes style, with our past Guardians
serving as the hosts and defenders. Challengers select the type of combat
they desire by striking the appropriate shield upon Charlemangne's Tree of
Shields, while offering persuasive words of challenge. After all have had
the opportunity to challenge, a battle at the barrier. Then five champions
will be chosen by the ladies of the gallery to conduct such combat as may
amuse them. The tourney will conclude with a grand melee over the barrier,
fought with spears. The new Guardian at Arms will be chosen by election of
the past Guardians.

The Isegnante (meaning Instructor in Italian) Tourney will take place early
Sunday morning. Epee is allowed; Heavy rapier preferred. This is a
non-elimination tourney, where the victor is chosen by votes cast by each
fighter and Insegnante. A challenge tourney is being planned. If there are
enough participants, a TITLED Youth Rapier tournament will be played in
conjunction.

The Bardic Competition has 5 categories: Song, Story, Poem, Instrumental,
and Other. Each division has its own prize. Aspirants for the Title should
prepare two pieces from different categories for the two preliminary rounds.
The finalists will be asked to perform a third piece. Preference will be
given to those performing in a third category. A special prize is also
planned for the best piece written and performed in honor of Mooneschadowe
or any of its citizens.

The site fee is $10, which includes a famous Aeddan & Gwennan feast,
conducted in a medeival style, with two tiers and entertainments throughout.

Will Rogers Boy Scout camp near Cleveland, OK.

A titled Archery competition is planned. The A&S competition & display will
have a special emphasis on food and beverage. Our traditional chess tourney
will culminate in a live chess game. Many Children's activities are
prepared. A Heavy weapons newcomer tourney is planned for Sunday.
