attending the event must accompany all minors attending the event. Proof
of temporary guardianship IS required. You must have two copies of
notarized documentation if you are bringing other minor children onto site
with you OTHER THAN YOUR OWN CHILDREN. These papers must originate
from
your state of origin; one form to be kept at registration and the other
with the child/guardian. If you arrive without documentation you will not
be allowed onto the site. The Estrella War Staff and the SCA are not
responsible for providing this documentation NOR CAN THEY. This paperwork
is the responsibility of the parents and guardian bringing the minor(s)
onto the site. Our staff understands the legalities surrounding this
issue and the responsibilities.

Unauthorized Areas

1.	Trespass into unauthorized areas may result in eviction from the
site
for the remainder of the event and forfeiture of all site fees. Each
issue will be addressed on a one by one basis. 2.	Unauthorized Areas will
be marked by either yellow caution tape, red tape, snow fencing or signs
will be posted. It is the responsibility of each participant to observe
these markers.

Battle Pit Rules

1.	All scenarios fought in the Battle Pit shall be governed by the
following special rules:
A.	A designated spectator area shall be set up overlooking the Battle Pit.
This area will be open for viewing only during the fighting scenarios.
B.	Individuals allowed in the Battle Pit will be limited to Fighters,
Marshals, water Bearers and Chirurgeon. This restriction will be applied
to all Royalty, Peers and participants alike. C.	You must utilize the
roads for going into the pit. No one is allowed to climb up or down the
walls of the pit. D.	Hay wagons will be providing transportation to and
from the Battle Pit during the fighting scenarios. E.	No personal vehicles
of any type shall be allowed on the entrance road to the pit or within the
pit without the express permission of the Main Autocrats. F.	A limited,
designated fighting area will be clearly identified within the Battle Pit.
No one shall be allowed outside this designated area for any purpose.
G.	Any persons not abiding by these rules may be removed from the War
site
with forfeiture of fees.

Vehicles

1.	Driving on the grass is permitted for set-up and take down ONLY.
2.	All vehicles must park in designated parking areas. Parking is not
permitted on the parameter roads this year! 3.	Handicapped parking spaces
are restricted to those vehicles showing state-issued handicapped license
plates or parking permits. 4.	Merchant parking areas will be clearly
marked. All vehicles in these lots must clearly display the Merchant Dash
Card available only from the Merchant Autocrat. 5.	Any vehicle illegally
parked, not abiding by these site rules may be subject to towing at the
owners' expense.

The Dust?

1.	Last year was a very dry and cold winter in Phoenix, which led to a
very dusty site. With the huge population boom on site, an extra 1,200
attendees, and a "hard freeze" Tuesday evening just prior to opening, the
ground cover (dormant Bermuda grass) quickly died and the site became very
barren. This coupled with the camp smoke from the attendees, led to a
dusty site. 2.	This year the Kingdom of Atenveldt, the War Staff, and the
Site Owner are working hard to ensure the survival of the ground cover on
the main camping field. Winter grass is being planted, extra watering has
been arranged, and extra passes by the water trucks are all part of our
efforts to decrease the dust. 3.	Soil samples were tested and proved
negative for any abnormal chemicals, pesticides or caustic agents.
Schnepf Farms does not use pesticides of this nature. Local growers did
not spray during the event. 4.	Please be prepared - Most of us are city
dwellers, going from our climate controlled homes, to our climate
controlled vehicles to our climate controlled places of employment or
colleges, suddenly thrust into a dirty, smoky environment with a few
thousand friends from around the globe. Add to this the unpredictable
weather, cold and windy, or dry and hot - It's Phoenix. 5.	If you have a
known respiratory history, or allergies, you are urged to contact your
family physician prior to the event and bring with you whatever
prescriptions or over-the-counter medications you may need in a varied
environment. Please consider this a primitive site.

Camping

1.	We have plenty of acres of grassy camping space. Please do not take
more space than you require. If you use more space than you need, you
WILL be asked to tighten up your encampment. 2.	Do not move any of the
markings for the road or pathways. Roads are required to be wide enough
to accommodate a large fire truck. 3.	A fire extinguisher is required at
each tent and placed outside. 4.	Camping in the area of the archery range
will be limited to archers ONLY. A.	You must make arrangements prior to
war with the Archery Autocrat. B.	If you have not been able to contact the
Archery Autocrat, you must gain his approval before you set up your
encampment. C.	Space is limited, do not take any more than you need or
you
will be asked to "tighten up" your encampment. D.	If an encampment is set
up and an archer is not part of that encampment, they will be required to
move to the general camping area, even if their encampment is set up
completely. E.	Failure to comply may mean expulsion from the war. F.	For
safety reasons due to live steel being used for the arrows, these policies
will be strictly enforced! Fire

1.	No open flames. Candles, lanterns and torches must be screened or
contained in hurricane-type containers.
2.	Fires must be contained up off of the ground.
3.	No pits may be dug in the ground for any reason. This includes for a
fire pit or cooking.

Firearms
1.	No firearms (other than SCA period historical replicas) are
permitted on
site.

Animals

1.	Animals must be leashed at all times.
2. There will be no equestrian events at Estrella XVI, horses are NOT
allowed on site as we do not have facilities for them.

Alcohol/Drugs

1.	No illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia are allowed.
2.	The legal drinking age is 21 in Arizona.
