Try to take HWY 21 after you pass Baton Rouge.  It's fairly direct and fast.
Don't hit Baton Rouge near rush hour.  Being stuck in traffic on a large
bouncing suspension bridge just sucks.  The road just east of of BR (where you
catch 21) is a mess of construction (for the last few years) and traffic really
backs up.
Louisiana, as of last year, does not drop down to 65 at night, but stayed at 70.

Don't rile Louisiana cops.
Beware a Mississippi cop who sits within 10 miles south of site; it looked like
he was getting his quota last year.  Luckily, it also means that he's use to us
and the stuff we haul...
