We can be bribed too :)
A number of things go into how an award is chosen...such as wording (in
other words is the text up to date), how many on hand and how many are given
out (in other words we try to give out different styles so that not everyone
getting that particular award gets the same style), ummmm, did I mention
bribery? Sometimes persona is taken into account (for instance, a Norse
person might get an AOA that has runes on it) or we might consider giving
that person a scroll that was painted in their area (this is done because
the person who received the award might know the person that painted
it....appreciation factor is really what it comes down too). And last but
not least is bribery. :)
