so you would advocate censorship for the convenience of some?  a
better solution would be to update your email client to something
that can handle the formats that are the norm on the *modern*
internet and not the scadian "perfect world" subset.  you will have
far better luck learning to live in the world rather than trying to
hold them to your personal standards (it's called give-and-take).

what is "gratuitous" to some is now standard to others ... i live in
a html / rtf primary world and find plain-text ugly and limiting. 
depends on your POV eh?

for those usure about your formatting, the help file included in your
client should explain this ... else you can ask those of us versed in
multiple clients, or check into the newsgroups related to your
particular client.

easiest solution ... update your client and spend a bit of time
learning the curent feature and control set.  modern e-tools mature
and improve, and they also become obsolete rather quickly.
