extrapolating the base armour standards (knee-length mail hauberk,
usually to elbow, naseled spangen helm) and combat convention of no
lower leg shots ... since most carry a shield, about only targets
that could be killing / incapacitating hit would be face, lower 1/2
of head, and sword forearm ... that complicated, most impacts would
simply be ignored ...

another complexity on a overly crowded and period-mixed field ... if
siege weapons are in use, how do you differentiate a single
profectile lobbed by a engine (much more leathel) and a pellet from a
sling (more an annnoyance) ???

if both are out there then slings become one man, mobile siege
engine, whose effect counts *way* out proportion to the weapon system
or the smaller engines are degraded into being ignored.

'wolf
... speaking of siege engine scenarios ... any Age of Kings players
out there ????
