Well, if your old fashioned I guess I am also.  When I got into the SCA 19
years ago the lady who was then the Hospitaler in Elfsea and invited me into
her household taught me that it was everyone's responsibility to pitch in
and help.  I've told people over the years, "You see that peer in the
kitchen up to their elbows in dirty dish water?  That's one of the reasons
they're a peer."*

so, in words of more modern perlance "You go, girl!"
