ANST - New Illuminated Bible

In the March 6, issue of Newsweek is an article (pg 52) 
about the first illuminated bible to be produced in 550 
years.  The project is being sponsored by the 
Benedictine university St. John's University in 
Collegeville, Minn.  The bible, 1,150 pages (of vellum) 
in seven volumes is being designed by Donald Jackson, 
some times known as the queen's calligrapher.  Beginning 
on Ash Wednesday viewing of the first stroke by Jackson 
will be available to be seen on their Web site 
(saintjohnsbible.org).  The web site also has more 
information about the Bible, St John's, and Donald 
Jackson.
