noted in this, and several other lists that there seems to be a rash
of evaporated address books and pleas for sending email addy's ... 

here's a simply "insurance" sorta solution for anyone who has had to
rebuild a address book from scratch - simply copy it to diskette and
update it frequently (first law of backups, the period between
updates of your backups is related to what you are willing to
re-create in event of a total loss).  many email client programs keep
the address file seperate from the actual mail making it simple
matter to copy for backup purposes, others allow you to export it for
similar backup.

here's an idea ... since there is a official server that is seeking
more use, why not setup some way to archive active email adresses (a
kingdom level doomsday e-book ... on an opt-in basis) so that those
seeking a addy (or more) can easily look in one place for current
ones ...
