Well its better to offer half your purse in tribute then to lose it all
to the mercurial Gypsy sense of humor.  I am sure that a song would be
welcome, 
as would musicans or those bringing libations and tales to be shared around
the camp.  
If you have none of these things,  I have heard tell that the gypsies do
take children 
from time to time.
