last free bear someone offered me was back in '87 (if memory serves
...), cute beast, but playfully tried to eat the leg off of my denims
while i was still wearing them .. needless to say i was not amused
and sensibly passed on the cub .... owner figured that since i had
wolf-hybrids (at the time, pair of belgian/timber), i would be
willing to take a bear cub off his hands ... self may be a bit
sun-crazed (a common tejas thing), but not stupid enough to adopt a
bear .. at least not while living in a urban area.
