* I've got this old book that is written in old english text
* ... I've been told that it is possibly Welsh, Scotish or keltic ...

common early period misconception ....

no such animal as "keltic" language .. keltic (from greek keltoi,
commonly attributed to the name the northern & western strangers
(traders) named themselves ..) refers to primarily to a large and
varied family of languages widely dispersed over time and distance
(primarily temperate europe) ... ie, they mark differing, but
culturally related peoples.

if you find something written that is attributed to these peoples, it
will most likely be in latin or greek .. in that until the advent of
christianity and its importation of the latin and greek alphabets,
they were predominantly oral tradition folk (with the ogham scripting
showing up mostly in religious connotations ...). by the advent of
widespead adoption of written languages, these "keltic" cultures were
evolving into seperate and unique national identities (the irish,
welsh, scots, ... for example)

'wolf
.. keltoi by inclination (saves having to pick a national identity)
