... and this is their inclusive breed page,
http://www.pets4you.com/dogs.html

thank you for posting this link ... checked it out and immediately
gravitated to wolf-hybrids listinsg (naturally interested and mate
and i are looking for a female companion for our male rott-wolf).
was checking out the listings and what do i find, but a listing for a
kennel that i have been looking for literally for years ... i bought
a cub from them in '81 and always wanted to write them and let them
know that she had a long and happy life, but lost the old paperwork
and contact data in a move. and now that i've found them again,
considering another of their awesome belgian-wolf hybrids.

for those of us of the celtic persuasion, you can't really get a more
"period" animal than the fael-cu (literally "wolf-dog") - a suitable
companion of just about every herding and/or warrior-centric culture
that lived in close proximity to the wilds of europe and eur-asia.
the relationship provided defense against man and beast, and served
as hunting and hearth companion (have seen all of those in my past &
present hybrids). and it's a relationship that goes *far* back to
our beginnings and the beginnings of the domestic dogs that came
later.

though the breed is definitely not for most ... you have to start out
by understanding, being, and living as "pack" and you better be the
alpha in that pack and willing to defend that position or you will
have major problems. and you will also need to be a creative
engineer to handle the containment issues (they dig, they climb, they
jump, they walk through things, they figure out how to work latches
and gates, they pull things down / apart ...).

for the right people and situations, a excellent warriors companion
and family guardian.

'wolf
.. it's not just a name, it's a long-standing lifestyle
