Your Grace, the list looks like a typical Victorian fabrication.  You should
always be suspicious of Victorian authors, most especially when their
"leading authority" isn't fully cited.  The items on this list seem to me to
better reflect the Victorian fantasy of the Middle Ages than actual medieval
attitudes about knighthood.

A number of Laurels across the Known World have done work on oaths of
knighthood -- can I post your note to the SCA-Laurels list and see what
response it gathers?
