Hmm...wow! I got more information than I asked for! Gracias!!  :-) This is
the most I have found or heard of on Spanish history...it's just so elusuve!

To clarify...My personna was born in 1492 (yes, I picked that year on
purpose) outside of Castille.

So, would 1492 be considered the Middle Ages or the Rennasaince for Spain?
If so, then the cedilla would be pronounced as a "z" or would it still be
pronounced as a "th"?

As far as it passing, I think it will. I let some of the heralds look at it
at Coronation and they didn't see a problem with it. I found 2 ladies both
with the same last name. But, we will wait and see. That's why I'm not
changing it officially until I get the final OK from the College of Heralds.
