I found the below web site very interesting.  It is details about the life
of Gilles de Rais who was the Marshal of France in 1429.  The time of Joan
of Arc.  In fact he campaigned with her.
But that is not what the site is about.  The site tells his story because he
would become known as a serial killer, child molester and satanist.
