Unto Lady Tabitha, Seneschal of the Barony of Bryn Gwlad,

Dear Tabitha, thank you for your letter in warning me about the potential
problems regarding the celebration being held by the Boar's Breast. I am
aware, a little too aware, of the problems that have been brewing - if
you'll pardon the bad pun - between the two taverns. I have given strict
orders to Lord Duncan, the captain of the guard, to ensure that this problem
is resolved post haste. I have every confidence in Duncan and his guard and
believe that things will go smoothly this weekend and that the problems will
be over, one way or another, before Mass on Sunday.

One another note, if this Desmond character truly dislikes folks of French
blood, someone may wish to remind him that his baroness's last name is
d'Avignon. Just a thought.

Through the grace of God and of Crown I remain,
Pendaran,
Lord Bryn Gwlad

Lady Tabitha Baker, Seneschal Bryn Gwlad doth send Greetings unto HE
Pendaran Glamorgan,
Your Excellency, I send missive this day to inform you of the
happenings in your Barony. The Boar's Breast , as you know, will be holding
a celebration on Saturday the 23 day of June in honor the charter you so
kindly granted them. There has been much talk among your people regarding the
rivalry between the Soiled Dove and the Boar's Breast. I am concerned there
may be troubles since that Soiled Dove Inn burned and I have been told that
the proprietor has placed the blame on those who work at the Boar's Breast.
Your people tell me there have already been many threats against Limbrick
Dahl's person and I fear a riot may break out during the celebration. They
say he has remained quiet since this establishment burned, but that his men
have been seen near the Boar's Breast and are harassing the customers
attempting to enter that establishment. There is also rumor that Rosie's
"cousin" Desmond has an intense dislike for anyone of French birth and may
consider that a valid reason to do Limbrick or his men harm as I have been
told they have French surnames. I will continue to talk among the people of
this Barony and report to you any further news of these troubles.
                                    I remain in Your Service,
                                        Lady Tabitha Baker
                                        Seneschal Bryn Gwlad
