Greetings,

I am starting a herbal guild.  The first meeting will be the second Monday in June, 6/11/01, at 7:30 pm.  It will be at my house in Richardson.  I will post address and directions at a later date.  The first meeting will be to get acquainted, then I will hand out a survey to find out what people hope to get out of this guild.  I have several handouts about herbal medicine, identification of herbs and some simple herbal recipes.

Because a lot of what I do is medicinal herbals I will not give advice on any herb to replace a Dr.'s recommended medication.  Herbs are a supplement and should be discussed with your doctor before mixing with medication. Most of my medicinal herbal mixtures are for topical use only.  I do make tonics, teas and tinctures, but again, not to replace a Dr.'s recommended medication.

I am really excited about the responses I have received and am looking forward to our first meeting as well as many more after.  My dream for the guild is being able to serve the novice to the most experienced in herbals.  I hope to get guest speakers, in herbals, botany and related areas.

I will be attending Dragon Fire Tor's 10th anniversary this weekend, only on Sat..  I will be at Steppes Warlord from 5/25 to 5/27.  If anyone wishes to speak with me on this subject please find me.
