If it has a stamp on it, then it was mailed 1st Class. (In that case, the words
"FIRST CLASS MAIL" should be visible on the cover, below the label.)

If there's no stamp on the cover, you can see a little box in the upper right
corner of the cover with the words "Postage Paid", etc. In that case it was
mailed 3rd Class (bulk mail).
