[Ansteorra] Travel cost

YES, it is definitely making an impact. We bought an older, gently used van
just for our SCA adventures. We are now making decisions about whether we
take the V8, fully loaded down and camp, or do we just daytrip and take the
Nissan Altima with all of 4 cylinders. There is about a 50% reduction in
the cost of gas between the vehicles. How much is the site fee, is their
feast there or food close by, all of that has now become a factor in our
event decisions.

Our situation is further complicated by the fact that both of us work about
45 miles one way from our home. The cost of fuel to and from work has eaten
away at our discretionary income, which makes the cost of travel even more
of a concern, since the starting pot of cash is diminished.
