I agree.  It is a wonderful privilege to help others.  I think it is part
of what makes our game fun and that the mundane world would be much better
if all behaved in such a manner and asked to help on a regular basis.

But...as I said before, EXPECTING everyone to drop everything at the drop of
the hat is a bit annoying.  While it does not take much to ask if someone
needs a hand, it takes just as much to be polite in asking for help or
politely declining when it is offered.

It was for those special people who always give of themselves, who stand as
that chivalric example in their demeanor and deeds that I created the Order
of the Queen's Ring of Ansteorra.

Courtesy and chivalric conduct often goes unrewarded and unnoticed because
the giver of such gifts brings them forth from within their heart, and gives
them endlessly, and very often quietly.

For those that paint a picture for all of us of what curtsey in the  current
middle ages is, and inspires all of us to carry on and try to be even
brighter and better.

So I would encourage those of you who receive help carrying, for those of
you that see someone who stands as a bright example to others, to send those
stories and names to your Queen, for it is recognition from Her hands, and
was created just for those who always look beyond themselves to those around
them, and stand as that example for us all.
