Not everyone can be a "Lion" of Ansteorra. However, everyone
can do the little things that make this game more exciting
and interesting, such as use normal vocabulary, perhaps
even the medieval names for things, rather than cutesy,
made-up fantasy names. It really doesn't take that much
effort.

Now, about this walking authentically. Can you please detail
for me how walking has changed in the last few hundred years?
Although admittedly, we do a lot less of it these days than
they did in medieval times.

No, you shouldn't be when it is your personal speach. When
it is the decision on whether to use a made up word or
the real one on official event announcements, signs, maps
etc, then that is open to discussion and criticism.
