I am not sure that I would agree. Although I have not made it to many events
as of late, when I do go to an event I try to "hang out like the old days."
But I refuse to be asked if I am a newbie, and when you try to tell the
stories of the old days, the young ones don't want to listen. That was some
of the best times I had in the SCA. Sitting at the fire listening to the
older players tell the stories of their career (so to say) in the SCA. (
hello-how many of us remember how many editions of the wedding crashed by the
hells angels??) ( Or the no shit There INMAN was) It seems that not only are
we not sharing our history, but the newer players are not interested in that
history. They are looking to make their own mark on this game we play, and
not realizing that they may not be the first to do this sort of thing.
