Correct!  The pretty little doggies, and occasionally ferets
to keep the fleas from the ladies and gentlemen.  Of course
the human flea as opposed to the dog flea or cat flea
different critters) was more inclined to munch on people than
furry little animals.  The "flea circus" was normally done
using human fleas.  Their reward....to feed off of their
"trainer" at the end of a performance.  Eeeeewwwwwww!!!
