Dear Ian,

I agree with almost all of your post except this part.  I'm not sure I would
call it "bickering".  Even where this thread has taken a small turn for the
worse (ie the "grow up" comments) I wouldn't say it has gotten really nasty.
I think that most are doing quite well in their commentary so far.  An
exchange of ideas and stances is almost always a good thing.  Stealing, as
you say, *is* a very serious thing.  This time it was beer.  Next time it
could be someone's $70 piece of amber or a weapon.  I remember a time in the
past where we had several people who had joined/started playing at events
for the express purpose (it seemed) of petty theft.  It was handled very
well (I feel) at the time by the PTB and those people were identified and
shown the door.  Anyone would be upset by what just happened to this lady
and the upset should be taken into account.
