I have a friend that is looking for this song, does anyone recogonize it?

"I'm looking for the words of a paticular SCA-type song that my seargant
heard when he was at Pennsic a few years ago. He says the chorus goes
something like *ahem*
"Someones first to die my boys, someones first to die, we all take the field
together boys, but someones first to die"
He thinks that it may be a Calontiri War Hymn. Any help would be appreciated!
